Tanzania has 22 national parks managed by the Tanzania National Parks Authority (TANAPA), covering approximately 15% of the country's land area. These parks offer some of the finest game viewing in Africa, protecting a wide range of ecosystems from vast savannas to chimpanzee habitats and Africa's highest peak, Mount Kilimanjaro.
